Anyone else see this movie?
I was a little divided about whether to see this movie or not.
Dolph Lungrens effort back in the late 80's left a really bad taste in my mouth.
But with acting credits like Thomas Jane (A Christopher Lambert lookalike) John Travolta, Rebecca Romijn-Stamos, Laura Harring, Roy Scheider and Kevin Nash (hahahahaha)
What could go wrong right?...
There was alot of focus on plot (which was about as paper thin as the dialogue) but to start a franchise, you have to lay down the history. The Acting isn't what I'd call strong.
The pace of the movie is kind of slow, there are a few creative ideas when Frank Castle gets around to doling out "punishment" but nothing really to make you walk out of the theatre feeling like you've been kind of ripped off.
I'll let you form your own opinions about the whole movie itself, but on a scale of one to five, I'd give it:

I dunno - looks like a good movie. I never pay to see movies at full price though. I always wait until it hits Movies 12.
As for approving these projects, maybe Stan Lee is becoming senile, sorta like the Pope (who blesses everything in sight :D)

You liked Daredevil? I thought it was the cheesiest piece of crap that this whole comic book to movie thing has churned out. Terrible dialogue, shitty characters, another bad impersonation of an actor by Ben Affleck, those all add up to one of the worst movies ever in my books.

| I had to beg to differ about the Daredevil......Im not saying it was the best by no means......but my vote for the worst comic book to movie had to be the hulk......now that movie sucked the big one......hard. |

i agree with hellboy, it was good...
punisher, well, it was better than Dolfs stinky turd of a movie back in the day :) thats good.
it wasnt great, but oh well, it was entertaining, and miss Romijn-Stamos is still lookin great :D |

i liked hellboy, mighta thought diff had i ever seen one of the comics. but i didn't so i had nothing to draw criticism about inaccurate details from.
punisher was good......... compared to the dolph version. Good but not the best marvel movie.
i saw hulk for the hulk....... thats all i wanted. it was to slow in the beginning, to dumb at the end. they shoulda just ended the movie before that whole fight with his dad. it woulda been cool to have one of those 20 min hulk seens set in new york...... leapin over and through buildings. smashin things with the statue of liberties torch, ect!!
daredevil was iffy. it had its cool parts. guess the bonus is there won't be a sequel!!
xmens by far the best marvel movie, nobody can argue with that!! :bthumbup:
i hope spidey2 is more impressive. i hated the green goblin in the first... such a boring enemy. plus i don't like kristin dunst, tonnes of ppl i woulda picked over her. |

What Comic character should they make the next movie about?
Maybe ironman?fantastic four would be cool too.
Personally i'd like to see spiderman agaist venom in the next Comic movie. |

Eddie Brock was actually in the first movie. If I remember correctly, JJ said something like "Go take those pictures" to him and then he walked out of the office.
