| Im thinking of setting up a race day at the base airfield(i work there). So i was wondering if anyone would be interested. Also i know a few of the guys here have set one up and would like to know the procedure( i could ask my OR but that is always a hassle). The req so far would be:
Your own car(obviously)
a undecided fee depending on # of participants(more ppl lower the fee)
Valid Driver Licence
and probably a disclaimer to be filed out prior to going on the runway. |

Do you have insurance to hold this kind of event? Does the base have event insurance for racing?
Just letting you know, if you were to hold an event and something happened without you having insurance, you and whoever hosted it (the base) could be liable. (there is specific insurance for these things, as I am sure you are aware)
Just checking, as a concerned competitor.
Events like a full-blown raceday (door to door) would be expensive as all hell.
There also aren't to many days left available to book events on the base, so if you want one in July you will have to jump on it quickly.

The Edmonton RX-7 club has already set up some dates for auto-x, that everyone is entitled to come to...
The next date is June 20th, and July 24th. If your interested, there is some information about it in the Edmonton RX-7 club forum. |

| Wow the base is totally booked up until like Sept. So it doesnt look like i can set one up till next year. Oh well ill go do the RX7 one on July 24th(my car mods will be done by then). |
