Hey guys, while taking a long look at my car this weekend and taking note of all the dents that i have made, and all the dents/rust that came with the car when i bought it, i have decided that it would be cheaper to get a new body/shell and then just convert everything over. ie, motor, tranny, lsd, ecu. yada yada. depends on the model that there is.
Now im not lookin to get a new shell right away but i am just checkin to see if anyone has any RX7 turbo body's forsale, doesn't even have to have interior. I can convert all my crap over to it. just the shell:bthumbup:
Any turbo shells hiding, Conroy or Matt?!;) :D

if you want rust free hit up the stats man look for one in nevada. i dont see why you would need a t2 body wouldn't any fc body be good? just put the t2 stuff on it ?

| think this over more carefully... you cannot swap all your stuff into a new shell and do all that work chaper than fixing yours. even if you bill out at only 10.00 per hour your looking 100+ hour min. to swap all that stuff. For a great shell you will be looking at 2000+ thats already minimum of 3000.00 and you had to sweat your bag off for weeks to do all the work. save up alittle have your car painted. and buy a hood. should cost you somewhere around 3000. have you seen the paint on rahuls car? look pretty good right? do a job about the same. ps. I have a matching 90 rear bumper for you and all the door moldings........ call me. pss i also have a stripped out 90 shell. needs some tlc but no rust. |

for a guy that has done it,, it is expensive,, there all theses other cost that will just keep coming...and time is intense and cannot be done overnight or even in one weekend. you will have toleave it garged for a min 1 month. (mine was gone for 2 months once parts were here)
just fix your hood (or get new one, )
just fix your bumper and take your car in for a clean paint job with factory color only cheap way out.
btw , my paint job is not cheap and not finished. my paint alone will put you at -1500.
cause once you get started you will want to change this or taht..and the guy goes ok, ok ($ching$, $ching$) |

well all i got to say..then you should have planned lil and drop your enigne in the black t2 earlier when you did do the engine swap.. but oh will live and learn
like for me i kinda regret not having done some more body work earlier but am going to get it done now.. casue did not have cash before.

You have a 90 shell? what color is it? what kinda TLC does it need? And how much would you be looking for it? Would you consider my shell as partial trade? |
