This event rocked! All be it; for the hard-core autocrossers it may have been too informal but it was a ton of fun!
I wish the clutch in the wagon had lasted a little longer but I'll be out there next time. Nothing quite like a 70's station wagon drifting through the corners! :bthumbup:

the thing that made this event SO MUCH fun was the INFORMALITY of it.
There was no anal "get in line, you're up next" or "do that again & you're off the track" mumbojumbo.
I loved the laid back atmosphere!!! |

A laid back event is what you have to have to make it about the fun...
Once you forget about the fun, an event isn't worth having.
Many other groups that host solo events don't do it for people to enjoy it, its more of a professionalism atmosphere with a competetive attitude...simply set up to allow people to run their cars, while ours is more of a casual gathering with an autocross event thrown in =P but we are all good people so I think that even the hardcore auto-crossers can still come out and have a good time. The beginner auto-crossers can come out and enjoy themselves the whole day!
For the amount of runs we all got it was definitly worth it!
While we all still have a competetive attitude while on the track, off the track its all fun :bthumbup:
Not to mention that goin sideways once in a while is great!
Although I think at the next event I "might" try to get more competetive times...although I want to do some major show-boating on video so that I can get some sweet camera action goin on! :blue:
