Ok i have a beef!!! and most people who post wont think too much of it but it's been on my mind for a while!!!
Why do some people just come on read the thread and not post!! we have like 300+ people who come view the thread but only like 10 post!!!
I think it's a little retarded!!! even if u give a one line post about what u think (regarding the thread) then it's cool!!! we want ur opinion!! even if ur not in lethbridge or Instinct....what u think could help with someones question!!!
I think if more people posted then Dax wouldn't be going so worried over the fact that no one is making an effort to join/be interested in the club!!!
He's right when he says that Red Deer is smaller than Lethbridge but has more clubs!! but when someone tries to start one here no one pays any attention!! and not to offend anyone, but Dax is putting a lot of time and effort into getting this club up and running, and some of you aren't really helpin' the cause!
I don't know if because ur all not as interested in it as him or whatever...but the fact is... we need more people to get involved if we want the club to succeed!!
Only having 2 or 3 people going to a meet isnt very successful!! Some people need to step up to the plate and take some responsibility!!! there needs to be commitment and trust!! and right now i don't think there are too many people commited to this club.....

Hey Amber, I just had to edit your post because I had to adjust a couple minor things...I hope you understand...
But yes, I think that Amber is correct to a certain extent. I am well aware that the summer season is just beginning and hasn't quite begun yet (every time I speak snow begins to fall lol). But I do think that there could be more involvement in the club and more people could put more effort into making this club successful.
Thats just my 2 cents, to tell you the truth SO FAR I am happy with what has been going on, but I hope that this club can really come togther and be successful in the summer months.
One of the reasons I am staying in Lethbridge over summer is to run the club and be involvend in everything. I would usually go back to Calgary over the summer months, but I am taking the time and effort to make this a respectable, successul club within the car community across Alberta, and I hope that all of you will give me a hand in making this club known across Alberta.
But most importantly, I started this club to have fun and to unite the Lethbridge Car Community into one club/team. I want us to be proud of this club because I want the club to be OURS, not just mine. I hope that you all take advantage of the opportunites Mark (owner of v8less and 780tuners) has given us over the past few months. I want to show everyone in Alberta that there is a respectable, well-organized car community in Lethbridge and want all of you to be a part of it, thank you. Feel free to post your comments regarding this subject matter.

The high view number might have something to do with this

Alot of people surf the forum with the "View New Posts" link. I use it without looking which sub-forum the thread is in. Usually the I have nothing to add to an Instinct thread, so you get a view with no post. Also, when someone replies to your thread they normally check back for responses. These add up as well.

| Even though I'm in Calgary, totally in agreeance and when my car has a bit more work done to it then I'm so down for representing Instinct in the shows etc. Rims should be in this week or next, new mufflers come in from Holley on Tues, installed by end of the week I hope, Paint hopefully mid next month, fiberglassed box and headrest monitors I can whenever I get some free time, LV seat reaphoulstering should be early,mid next month. After those few things I'd say I'd enter my car in the shows. I was kinda dissapointed to only see one car from Instinct in the show, hopefully for some of the near future shows we can get a bunch of cars in and rep hard, I'm trying my best to get my car show ready asap. |

dont forget, a view counts everytime that somebody who actually does post looks at it. so if u check this thread 30 times a day its gonna count it as 30 views....

I know where all of you are coming from, still, I know that there are more people in the club who just forum lurk and never post....
This is what angers me because I need feedback from you guys, no matter where you live because I hear what club owners/presidents do wrong, and ususally its not giving the members enough say as to what goes on. I dont want this to be like that at all, you guys make the club. I will suggest events, and if you guys want them, I will go through and organize them, thats my responsibility as the club leader.
Why wouldnt you post your thoughts is basically what I would like to know? I know that sometimes I lurk, and dont post, but I am trying my best to avoid doing that. I now understand how tough it is to start and manage a club, but I DO love doing it, I just need member support.

Dax, you have to remember that this club and forum are still fairly new. Every club has to start from somewhere, and with time, the club will grow and the word will spread, brining more members. NVD started with 5-6 members and has grown significantly, just give it time. Also, I think the reason there are so many views and few posts is because this section is part of a much larger forum with most members being in Edmonton, I am sure they check out the Instinct section, but dont feel the need to post in another city's forum as much as their own. (this is just an assumption).
Anyway, just keep spreading the word, and give it time :bthumbup: |

I totally know what you mean by the club being new etc. But if you read one of my above posts, I mention that I am SO FAR happy with the progress and success of the club.
And in my last post I also mentioned that I know there are other reasons for the view counts to be so high (such as the "view new posts" function, as well as other clubs) but I stated in the last post that I know there are more people in this club who just forum lurk and do not state their opinions about club events/meets/decisions.
I am aware that it is their own choice if they want to post or not, but if you guys want to be involved in the club and participate and be in shows and competitions etc. I need to know what you guys want to do/see happening in the club.
I am aware the these clubs take time and need to grow and improve. I am just stating that I hope everything will come together nicely because I dont want those Red Deer bastards to beat us out of the club competitions etc! LOL jk Red Deer folks, but I know that this city has potential, and I just wanted to say that I hope INSTINCT will unite the Lethbridge Car Community.

They are Tom Motorsport TC7 wheels in 18'' the finish is gunmetal with a polished lip, i would get them with Kumho Ecsta Supra rubber

Yeah they are 20"x8.5" with 275x45 Eagle GT II's (nothing special on the rubbers right now, I'll throw nicer tires on once I destroy these). I'll throw some pics up of the new exhaust once it's done up on Fri. Dual chrome tips with a 45 degree slash cut following the body lines, exiting right in front of the rear wheels on both sides of the vehicle.
Those wheels are wicked Dax, the fire will look much better with those bad boys on it. You better do em up soon :)
We'll have to go for a cruise when you get back in to Calgary Dax, hopefully we'll be able to rip down 17th Ave after a Stanley Cup final game (knock on wood) :D |

| i think that another reason red deer car clubs are so succesful is because red deer is right inbetween 2 citys and your only about an 1 and a half from each where as lethbridge is kind out on its own and there really arent that many car enthusists in lethbridge that really car about there car in the same way as we do or else there really old farts that pimp out old school muscle cars the import scene in lethbridge is what i would say is not that great like as far as the amount of cars that where in lethbridge done up last year and still looked good there was maybe 7 or 8 the rest where just in the works kinda cars and now there really isnt that much to look at now as far as import cars lethbridge is pretty much a muscle car dominated city and the import scene is still kinda growing u cant expcet to much well atleast i dont but keep on try :bthumbup: |

but at the same time i hope this club is succeful and actually goes somewhere |
