Whats up with this? Buddy was talking to me about it sounds quite interesting. It parallells with Nos but is like 10x cheaper and it provides on average teh same amount of power boosts then nos. anyone have any sites thats have vids or anything on this.

Most propane injection systems are built for diesel engines. If you were to build an engine to run solely on propane and reap the benefits of the higher octane levels of the propane.....then yes it would be a very cheap, fast, efficient, clean alternative to gas. Being able to run 14:1-16:1 compression on pump fuel would be a whole lot of fun!

like Chrome said...I've only seen It done on diesel trucks

Propane is used in gas burning cars with nitrous to raise the octane level, so you can push more nitrous in there without detonation...
The 700HP fiero from reddeer has nitrous+propane injection...

Exactly, it can also be used as an additional fuel source instead of adding more gasoline in a typical nitrous system. By doing this you lower intake temperatures(if spraying liquid propane into the intake) along with the nitrous itself lowering intake temperatures. The two combined can have some serious punch, but it is not an easy system to set up on your own. If you were to experiment with the system on a dyno you could mess around with propane pressures to maximize the nitrous use. Since pressure regulators for propane are alot easier to adjust than nitrous jets this would be somewhat optimal.
Anyone want to donate a car for experimentation? |

I'd donate my car...
someone needs to buy me a nitrous system first :D then we'll play with the propain (haha)

I think that could be a lot of fun! Just pick up a rather cheap little 4 banger and hook up a dry nitrous/dry propane system.
