| I want a nice reliable, business car so it has to be professional, and easy to maintain and I am also considering leasing it. In the $30 000 range. Any suggestions or experiences? |

That new Chrysler 300C looks like a pretty amazing deal. You could get one fairly nicely optioned for that price.
They "retail" at $30k base, which includes all power options, A/C, traction control, etc. But who pays retail anymore? I haven't heard anything about them flying off the lot, so I'm sure you'll be able to knock a couple thousand more off that price.

|
|
| Keith303 |
| those are both great cars, looks I would chose the mazda hands down, but the accord is deffinatly reliable |
|

| I would go for a Nissan Maxima for sure. |
|
|
| Casanova |
| what benefits do maxima's have? I like the look of the mazda's too but the accord has a great history and rep, I wouldnt worry so much if I got an accord. |

| Dunno, Nissan's VQ engine with 265 horsepower, the panoramic sunroof, probably the nicest interior of any car I've been in personally. Looks GQ too. |

| how much is it? I will cehck out the website actually |

| Might be a little high for your price range, but the Altima is just as good in my opinion and thats right around 30,000 dollars. |

the mazda 6 and the maxima are both biult and designed in northamerica...... so whats your definition of domestic?
the new 300C is more euro then american. |

I'm a big fan of imports too...BUT!!
The new 300C is an awesome car for the $$$
Hemi that changes to a 4cyl to conserve fuel.....??!!
Power on top....all options...10 year warrenty....free servicing!!!
I think the best 30K you could spend for a 'business/professional' car!
JT
PS Its looks very euro...hate to say it...but it has some Bently character. |

When it comes to cars I'm usually on the Asian/European side, but the 300C was the only, I repeat, ONLY car at the autoshow to seriously grab my attention. Chrysler is really putting their Daimler relationship to good use and producing some incredible cars.

Why not buy a little bit used like somethign with 10000kms on it, you will get it for like 5000 cheaper, and it will probly still have a warrenty, just try to get one that someone traded in for a newer model car or something.

If you get it narrowed down try hitting the rental companies up for weekend deals on a few of your favorites. A good couple of days with a car will tell you much more about it then a test drive.
I compared the Camry & Accord on back to back weekends and found something I liked in each. The Camry was very nice, comfortable car. I found the Honda Accord to be less plush but it handled better(IMHO). Either car would be a good choice with dependable resale. The problem is getting one for a decent price(you may have to settle for the 4 instead of the 6 for 30G).
You will not get a new Maxima for 30G. The Altima is much improved and you can get the same powertrain as the Maxima. I don't know the Mazda6 but if it seems to be worth looking at(see next comment on the new 300)...
The 300 may be a good car but it has seldom proved to be a good move to buy a first model year of new design. Have fun looking!!!:blue: |

| A firend that works at the Nissan dealership quoted 27400 for the Altima S. 3.5 L Engine, but no roof, wheels or leather. Retail was 28900. He said that was 500$ over his invoice priice. |

I think he said reliable (korea should never have made cars)...:p Doesn't kia have the best 7/115XXXkm warranty. Personally, If I had $30,000, I would go with a Lexus. There customer return rate is the highest around which should tell you something about the service they offer and reliability. |

| Camry or Accord would be best for your needs. |

30 grand for a lexus an is 300 is 40 grand after tax, maxima starting at 33 grand an up, the new 300c looks sweet, however the first year runs to have the most problems but is definately worth the look, look at jd power and associates they rank cars based on realiability, the acura tsx is worth a look or a 1yr old tl sedan.
I would leave out the mitsus and the mazda, personally I dont think there mainstream cars cant compare to the build quality of toyota/honda/acura/ nissan
happy hunting |

Well I have driven a new Camry and I think they are old man cars. Smooth and quiet (and obviously reliable) but very boring to drive. The accord is better, but not much.
If you want any amount of sport and you are looking for a larger sedan like that I would go with the Mazda 6. |

| mazda 6 is too small for business. And Camry is perfect for a nice ride. My partner drove his 03 xle all the way to San Diego(wife is pregnant and can't fly). I also have found Toyotas more reliable than Honda after selling parts for both. |

Hey dude;
Ever thought about a tiburon? Maybe a little more than 30 000 but also nice ride. Maybe also think about a SVT focus or even a mustang for 30 000 give or take. |

Why not something like an Acura 1.8 EL or whatever those are? Im not sure if they are still being made, and i think they are the classier version of the accords arent they?:dunno:
either way, my sisters x-bf who was in business and needed a 4 door had one, loaded, leather interior. There were quite a bit of aftermarket parts for it, and it was a very classy car.
But out of the list you put out, i have to say...
mazda 6 with sport package.
or
Nissan Altima |
