Anyone doing custom fibreglassing soon? - Click HERE for Original Thread

TrevorK
I've been reading up on how to do custom fibreglassing (Mainly sub boxes, but I'm sure the same theory could apply to even doing up a center console or something), and I'm interested in going through the actual process since it can't be as easy as it seems.

Anyone fibreglassing a box soon and doesn't mind a set on eyes watching on?

No more DSM's for me right now - they're all sold. Last one went to Calgary 1 month ago....

But I'm thinking the Z28 could use some custom interior pieces ;)

dogstar

customizing interior pieces, replacing the plastic panels and whatnot,or for body pieces....weight reduction

SplineZ
Not to mention if his interior suffers from the same problems as mine, It will look better :)

The foam GM used under the vinyl on some peices is begining to seperate from the plastic skeleton undernieth.. Only way to fix it is to glue it back, or to make a new one :)

I would be interested to know what kinda peices you are lookin at doing trevor, If its dash or otherwise..

Eventually it will all be a custom interior - I want something unique.

I have connections to learn the upholstry part, so once I learn the fibreglassing, with enough practice of each I'll be able to tackle the hard stuff (Dashes, consoles, door panels, etc...). Might take a LONG time to get good at this, but I usually go through a couple cars a year so I got enough to practice on ;)

Transporter
