Hey guys just wondering if you know these symptoms when i start my car up in the morning the oil pressure is fine and when i warms up it drops. now as i keep driving the oil light will come on at 1000rpms and then higher and higher now if i turn the car off and back on it starts over at 1000rpm. but i know it isn't just the light because it starts to knock and tick when i let it idle witht the light on and it stops when i rev up tso the light goes off.. by the way this is on my 1988 300zx auto

I know this may sound dumb but when was the last time you checked your oil level? I also have a Z31 and last time it started "knocking and ticking" I drained the oil (remaining oil that is) and found metal flakes which resulted in me replacing my engine. :( Anyways here's also a good source for Z31 300ZX `84-`89 car info Hope this helps man. :dunno:
