tranny sounds screwed up but maybe one of you could explain it,

Skyline video

Mekanik22
Tranny sounds screwed up? It sounds like the driver can't shift properly to me....
Otherwise that car is BIG PIMPIN!

LOL, I just got to the in car view and he CAN'T shift! He's grinding the gears HARDCORE! My god, his wardrobe is also about as good as his shifting is... ;)

bigmack000
seems liek its a dog style tranny with strigth cut gears if not then he just blows

energie
my speakers are screwed so it looked hot to me:)

whats with teh hospital garb? Is that in pakistan?

240sx
so much grinding, i think he has to push the clutch in all the way!!!!!!!
LOL

SplineZ
I think joel has an idea here.. The tranny could have dog gears in it... an no synchros.. hence the grinding (or their blown up) alot of racing trannies are set like this

suadi arabia or UAE

" dog box,,,, a dog box is a friggen heavy duty gear box. If your racing, chances are you'll use a hollinger 6 speed (Aussie built and used the world over!!!) or some sort of dog box that can handle massive amounts of hp and acceleration with quick shifts." Sounds like ass though!!!!

"It kinda looks like the 4WD system is active with those sweet launches, so maybe he has it wired so he can disable and able it with a button or something ...??? maybe ? or maybe it's disabled and they're rwd launches... if so imagine how much better they'd be with the 4wd active...oh wait... it might have a 4wd torque splitter. spins for burnouts but 4wd for launch "

the nismo 6 spd trannies have the option of syncros or no syncros. the non syncroed can handle alot more torques than the syncroed.

SplineZ
I heard somewhere you can deactivate the front wheels drive system by removing a fuse... so its probly wired to a switch :)

I think bigmac is correct... its probably a dog box. At the beginning of the clip its stated HK$ 6spd tranny (I believe R32 only came with 5 spds). Just for kicks, I compared this vid to one of Nagata san of Top Secret Racing whose R33 skyline makes similar gear engagement. I think that this owner is just taking his sweet time selecting gears and that why the dog clutch is not engaging as quickly as it should hence the extra noise.

HKSpowers
Listening to him shift is like listening in a horror movie right as the dudes cutting a head off and sawing through all the tendons and bones, makes you quiver! :(

SketchifisT
Yeah with all that added to the car and them filmin it, i am sorry that has to be the tranny and him just takin his time findin the gears. Skylines themselves with alot of extra power need a better tranny, and i think like someone said he was just getting the sound cause he was takin his time findin the gears. No way a website would put up a video with some grindin gears on purpose, If they guy was grindin gears OMFG why do that to that car.

icydude
hes running a 10k hks 6 speed tranny........its the thoughest tranny that is designed specificly for the r32. its almost like a dogbox but it isn't.

Skillz
Car is from the Emirates (UAE), like someone said before. That would explain the white clothing and the mad money put into the car.

Didnt anyone read the license plates?? :)
