Edmonton Street Rod Association's "Summer Cruise 20"
Date: June 26, 2004
Location: Hawrelac Park and Fort Edmonton Park
Hey Guys! This is Bob Bear of the ESRA. Come help us celebrate our 20th rod run. In the past few years, we have expanded the entries from street rods to other special interest car clubs and tricked out Preludes are certainly special interest!
The Show and Shine starts at Hawrelac Park at noon and runs to 4PM. The show & shine is $4.00. This year we are inviting more participation from your club by extending the event to include the BBQ and Dance at Fort Edmonton Park beginning at 6PM. We are charging for the cost of the food and venue which is $25.00 per person for the day. The newly built Botsford Hanger at Fort Edmonton is the BBQ location and what a great site. We will be able to have our cars on the site after 6PM. Think of the fantastic photo ops.
To make a day of it, why not organize a poker run or cruise to take you the Hawrelac by noon? Join to promote your club, help build interclub relations and have fun with a great group of car enthusiasts. All proceeds go to varies worthy charities. |

I don't know about you guys but this sounds like a great venue to promote the EPC. With a great location, lots of media coverage, lots of people will be checking it out, and it's all for charity.
I don't know about a poker run but a group cruise to Hawrelak Park sounds like a good idea. We just need a meeting point to gather. Any suggestions?
For those of you interested in going to the BBQ afterwards, I'll need to know prior to June 23 so I can pre-purchase the tickets. They are $25/person. I beleive Prime Alberta Beef is on the menu and if you have a significant other, the dance would please them I'm sure...
All the proceeds of this event goes to WIN house, Terra Institute, North of 49, and the Tin's Banff Run. This is an opportunity to get involved with the community and help with some needy charities...
I'll start up a sign up list. Please indicate if you will be going to the BBQ.

| I may be interested in the show and shine part. But theres a possiblity im going to lethbridge that weekend? Nothing for sure yet but Ill keep you posted. |

Location: Westmount Shopping Centre (corner of Groat Road & 111 Ave)
Time: 11:00am
We will depart from Westmount at 11:30am to roll-in to Hawrelak Park.
Please bring your FRS radios. |

Just a reminder, the pre-meet is at Westmount Shopping Centre (Groat Road & 111 Ave) at 11am.
From there, we will cruise to Hawerlak Park together.
BTW, bring your FRS radios, a chair, sun screen, and cool drinks. I beleive there will be food & drink (BEER GARDEN) available at the venue. |
