| Does anyone have any info on where I can find gear ratio's for my 98 Sunfire GT/2.4lt ? I just had tranny work done and the torque doesn't feel the same. Thinking I may have 2.2lt gearing installed now.:dunno: |

| The 2.2L's use an Isuzu tranny, and I assume the GT's are using a Getrag. So I'm not sure they're interchangeable..... |

| The tranny's are the same on the 2.4's and 2.2's,the only difference is '95-99 have isuzu and 2000+ have the getrag. The getrag is supposedly a nicer shift and stronger. |

There are a couple guys on www.jbodyalberta.com that know a lot more than i do about the mechanics of these cars,check it out, very helpful people there.

you have a 99 cavi, so you must have the same tranny. have you had problems with it making a ticking noise only when doing 20kph or more and only when deaccellerating,it sounds like a playing card in bicycle spokes. |
