Mighty Midget and I went to the street legals last night. (we also meet praylewd powr as well) Man was that a blast.........first time one the track for both of us. Heres my best run of the night.

Heres a pic from the night.......Im in the closest lane

I will for sure be going back..........I had alot of fun........plus i wanna break into the 10's..............

Praylewd powr
That's a great run....and you should be able to pull a high 10 on a cooler evening. I couldn't get my 60foot below 2.1 but I'll just have to practice. Maybe I need a ZX-6???

or

ZX-10???

Damn was that 636 quick!

what was your best time??? I was reading on Ground Pilots some guys went to the track in Calgary for the first time and they where running 600's.....the best time of them was 12.75

you beat that didnt you....your best was a 12.5 wasnt it?

You where doing good........anytime you wanna go out again let me know...Im there.

And ya that 636 was crazy fast....his best was an 11.4

Praylewd powr
Nope.....my best times were my two last runs right before midnight.

One was an 11.97 and the other was an 11.90 (118 trap speed). I was very happy I broke into the 11's on my otherwise stock R6. My 60' were still too high though......but I think I did well for my first time out.

Yah, I will go whenever. I think I am going to get a smaller front sprocket and maybe bigger jets for the carbs (make use of my exhaust....and the bike is leaning out occasionally).

That was alot of addictive fun!

Sadly the best I managed was a 15.2 with a 2.36 60ft. Some of the issues are related to having to wait for the second gear shift since the synchro is gone, but after talking to some other Z owners today I'm starting to think I have a boost leak somewhere(car won't boost past 8psi). I guess I'll be going through vacuum lines looking for leaks tomorrow.:dunno:

Drain the tranny and throw some synthetic gear oil into the tranny, its like night and day.

ChromeDragon
I was contemplating picking up some synthetic. I'm sure I have some "shavings" in there already so a drain wouldn't be a bad idea.

After talking to some Z31 guys I've decided to pick up about 20 feet of vacuum line and go to work replacing pretty much all of it in the engine bay. If that doesn't do it, then the leak is somewhere on the up-pipe from the turbo.....either that or the impeller blades are chewed. I hope it's not the latter, because if it is I will have an excuse to put a bigger turbo in.....heheeh.

Tell us how everything goes once you're done, Matt.... Oh and did you get around to changing that so called air-filter that was left in by Chris? That thing was dirtier then the girls on 97st!

I cleaned it and re-oiled it, but I'm not sure if that was enough.:dunno:
