any idea where i could get my valve cover painted and approx. how much it would cost?

You can DIY. Just get some high temperature paint and use that. Its still gonna crackle though as time goes on. My buddy does all the time on his D16Y motor since they don't make purdy red valve covers for the 1.6 SOHC. If you want more details, PM me....

I'd do it for you for some beer, but I'm in Calgary....

I just painted mine red last week, it didn't turn out too bad...i had this red metallic paint, but it needs to be shiney underneath, so i used a highheat chrome paint, and then the high heat red stuff, it looks cool, and takes no time...if you want a hand just let me know.
