You can also check out the Bud Park Event Hotline - 461-7056.

Please note that we have added some New Classes for our Shootout event.

JB’s Shootout Bracket Racing:

Race your Street car in our Street Tuner Import class. All 4 & 6 cylinder & rotary engine Sport Compacts and Domestics. Mild to Wild, this class is designed for the weekend racer looking for some competition on the drag strip. All Power Adders & Engine Swaps Permitted, No limitations on Bolt On Performance Parts, no Tire Limitations (Run Street Tires or Slicks).

JB’s Shootout Heads Up Racing:

Pro Outlaw Import: This is our Heads-Up, run whatcha brung, put-up or shut-up class. This will be the class to watch for Alberta’s Fastest Import racers going head to head to prove who has the baddest ride in the West.

This class is open to all Import and Domestic Sport Compacts, No Restrictions on any modifications, All Power Adders are OK, Full Tube Chassis OK, FWD/RWD/AWD, RWD Conversions allowed, wheelie bars permitted.

Blaine from Pro-Drag & Lino (now an independent race team) are rumoured to be out there to take on all comers and settle the score to see who really has the fastest import. This looks to be one for the record books….

JB’s Shootout Excitement:

You will see across line burn outs at the biggest door-slammer race Drag Race of the year at Bud Park.

See some of Western Canada's fastest door cars ripping up the quarter mile with 7 and 8 second passes. Feel the thunder of the Outlaw Pro Mods as they race to the finish line in the 6 second zone. Nitrous vs. Superchargers vs. Turbos. Who will survive?

Be sure and see the tire shredding Burn Out Contest. If you haven't witnessed the burn out contest at a JB's Shootout event you won't believe the smoke and the carnage from competitors wanting to take home the top prize $$ and the glory of being the Burn Out King or Queen.

If all of this isn't enough for you; how about we throw in a 7000HP Top Fuel Dragster testing for the Rockys?

Spectators only $14.at the gate. Racers only $50. for car and driver for all classes except Top Sportsman and Outlaw Pro Mod. Entry fee for car and driver for TS and OPM is $75.

Excellent payouts and Gift Certificates are up for grabs for the winners and runner-ups & for all classes and awesome trophies at the awards presentation at the end of the race day. Complete details re: payouts to be posted by June 10th.

See you at the races:

Race Directors: Richard Morrison, Jim Bell, Nelson Lai

JB's 14th Annual Shootout - RESCHEDULE for JUNE 20th

We have made the decision now to reschedule our 14th Annual Shootout to JUNE 20th (NEXT SUNDAY) due to poor weather condition.

Rather than getting everyone out to the track tomorrow, we have decided this morning that we will move the race to next Sunday due to the poor weather condition which will not improve by tomorrow.

We wish to see you all on the 20th! Bring the family out to watch Dad race or just have fun together at the track.

If you have any question or concern please send your message to me.

Thank you

TEAM JB's

JB's Racing
JB’s 14th Annual SHOOTOUT
Has been rescheduled to:

Sunday June 20th

This is Due to the poor weather we are experiencing today, and the lousy forecast for tomorrow. Although it is possible that we might be able to do some racing tomorrow, given the likelihood of continued rain, we felt that out best course of action was to reschedule the event for next week.

Our apologies to racers and race fans who had made plans to attend our event tomorrow.

We look forward to seeing all of you at the Shootout, now on for next Sunday, Father’s Day.

That said, this is a great opportunity for everyone to get your cars tuned up that much better for our Shootout event on Sunday June 20th. This was our original race date on the Bud Park schedule.

We are going to have a really strong contingent of fast Door Slammers & Street Cars, some running as quick as High 6, low 7 seconds, at 190+mph, as well as some Western Canada’s Fastest Nitro-Burning Top Fuel Dragster Testing with Over 6000 horsepower on tap. If that isn’t enough, how about we throw in a Blown-Alcohol Wheel-stander too?

Look for updates at: www.jbspowercentre.com
