Some questions.. - Click HERE for Original Thread

Ok, well first off.. this is my system so far... I bought this..

Alpine MRD-M500 V12 AccuClass-D™ Mono Amplifier

and these

2 10inch Type R's

and this is my HU

CDA 9833

Now here is my question..
First off, I bought the subs/amp without the HU, and I ended up doing the whole "splice into the factory sub" method.. It worked excellent and the bass was retarded loud.. Now, I installed the new HU and the whole sound quality of the vehicle door speakers/rears was hightened, and the bass is much more clean.. BUT! I cant set the bass to be nearly as loud as it was before.. Is this because before my amp was double amplified cause of the factory amp? I have no idea.. any help would be appreciated.

Nice equipment, but now that you have an aftermarket deck I would connect the amp to the deck with RCA's if you haven't already. And if you have, the deck should be able to control the level of the pre-outs.

I did connect the rca from the deck to the amp... which is when i noticed the bass loss... I duno if I need to screw around with the crossover or not.. i'm stumped ..:(

oh and its not the subcontrol...

SilverZ24
Hmm... I have the same amp and similar Alpine deck and I haven't noticed a problem... Have you adjusted the gain on the amp? You didn't somehow re-wire the subs so they are in like 8 ohm mono or something did you? :dunno:

Good luck figuring it out. :)

make sure that you have the rca's connected to the sup out for the deck..i knwl it soundskinda novice but seriously... little misateks can happen!...

other than that..... jsut follow the tuning recomendations in the owners manual.... i think u have to crank it up so that the overload light goes on .... then you can adjust the gain....

ne who.... that is all...
