Problems with the Pioneer DEH-P8400MP headunit - Click HERE for Original Thread

n0c7
I've got the Pioneer DEH-P8400MP headunit. A couple months ago it decided to go crazy on me. When you would try and open it it would flip down the face about half an inch, stop, and then retract and kept doing this for 2 days until it finally just went dead. I took it to Autotemp off of 111ave since they are a Pioneer Authorized Service provider, and they replaced the Front Control PC board and the Regulator Processor. I was excited, brought it home, and reinstalled the deck. I ensured all connections were tied together well. As soon as I went to fire it up, it came on. The first thing I tried to do was open it, and it did. So I reinstalled the whole damn thing. 2 days later, it was running fine but wouldnt open. I took it all back out, and brought it back to Autotemp. They told me I had slightly bent it and that was the cause of it not opening, so they apparently unbent it for me. I reinstalled it again, and ever since I put it back in it will occasionally not open. The weird part is that when it wont open, if I turn the car off and let it cool down for 20 minutes or so, I'll come back and it will open fine :dunno: :dunno: This bad boy retailed for $1000 and I've already spent $200 in repairs, I don't want to chuck it, any suggestions??
