it sounds like quite the car, there was a shootout between the Evo8, STi & R32...R32 was dubbed the "sports luxury" car
the other two were more "raw" sports cars |

| it comes stock with really really nice Racing seats by....Konig....i believe....but they are nice...numbers...no clue yet...heard they are here already....but my info might be wrong.....liken the R32 symbols:D and it is a sexy car....they had it in europe first.... |

Not available in Canada? Well, there must be some way to get one here, because I see the same blue R32 every few days on 156st in the morning. Yup, it's an R32. I've been watching these things since they first hit Euro showrooms. It's the right colour, has the right body clading/badging, and the right VW rims. I saw it the first time about a month ago. I just about took a shite, because I didn't think they were available here yet.
Unmistakable car. Either he had it shipped here, or he's got one hell of an acurate clone on his hands. |

Yes, a dangerous thing to say in a forum full of Japanese cars, but I think the Germans have got it right.
It also doesn't have a huge-ass wing that does nothing but slow the car down and get in the way of your rear view. (they also look like butt, in my opinion)
It's a much classier vehicle. Nice styling without being gaudy.
Oh yeah, and all that power is N/A. Power all through the rev range. If you wanted to boost it, the VDub would be running circles around an STi or EVO. |

The car you've seen is a 20th anniversary GTi. Unless you know what to look for, they do look very similar to an R32 at first glance. They are available in the same colour (jazz blue) and have the same wheels. The front and rear bumpers are a bit different though and the R32 has dual exhaust whereas the 20th anniversary has a single exhaust.
The R32 will not come to Canada as its bumpers do not meet Canadian crash test standards. The car has been placed on Transport Canada's ban list. |
