| Hey a co worker of mine just bought a 88 V6 turbo, I think he said it might need a new tranny. His is a auto, I don't know if he got it inspected before he bought it. He's not the smartest guy anyway the car has 280 XXX Ks on it. Do you guys know of a good place to take it to get the tranny rebuilt of replaced. I don't know what place he took it to but they told him 3 grand to rebuild it or something. I just thought you guys might know a better place. |

is the one that youre friend bought white? if yes im almost 100% thats the one i bought but then returned cause of the tranny, if you dont mind how much did he pay? cause they guy was gonna sell it to me for $1000. go to Als Salvage i think on 213st or something #447-3282, they have an auto tranny for 600 installed or a 5spd conversion for around $1500,
your right about your buddy not being the smartest guy around cause that Z31 has frame damage, if you go above 60km/h the rear end starts to feel loose, thats the only thing that stopped me from buying the car, but the engine is in good shape besides the fact that its got 288k.
but that guy kept it up pretty well cause hes owned it since 13,000k |

| Ya it is white with red leather inside and it has electronic dash init. Also it has electronic selection on the suspension or thats what he told me. I think he paid 2500 for it or something like that. Is that tranny deal there for sure do you know? How bad was the frame damage is it something that can be fixed? If he is going to sell it do you guys think he will get more for it by parting it out then trying to sell the whole car? |
