When is Scion coming to Canada? - Click HERE for Original Thread

God help me, but I kinda like the xB (the boxy looking dinky toy minivan wannabe) and want to see one in person.

Even with all the bells and whistles these things are still going to be pretty cheap and since I know I'll get in trouble if I strap a baby seat into the cobra (my wife seems to think that babies don't like G-forces :dunno: ) it might make a fun 3rd car for when we have kids.

...I can just see pulling up to the daycare in a pimped out scion, lowered, on 19s.... damn that would be funny.

Isnt there a pepsi commercial like that?

waaaait.. that was a fullsized van, with a mural painted on the side..... and home speakers in it.. nevermind :)

I've been wondering the same thing. I think they're pretty cool...

TheNeonEdge
According hte the driving section in hte journal, Toyota will not be bringing scion to canada anytime soon, if ever..

I like the sports car they have comin too it looks killer!

P.S. Scion always has the sweetest commercials too, like hte one where the xB and xC are like robots, and hten transform into the cars, and hte freerunner ones, can someone post up a link to these 2 videos?!? i wanna watch them

hehehe ............ you have it partly right........

The wife will make you sell the cobra .......and YOU WILL be drivin that scion. Get used to it.

The only whine you will hear will come from the back seat.......

:D

silksheets
the RIV doesnt have them black listed, so you should be able ot bring one up pretty easy.

I will not comment on the car.

Pro Drag
They are legal in Canada.
One of the teams at the Rocky Mountain Nationals this past weekend had one as a tow vehicle. The racer is from Calgary.

If they don't, there's a good chance Canada will get a few Toyotas that aren't offered in the states. The Tc is the only compact coupe made by Toyota. Do you think they won't have any type of sport compact for sale in Canada? (I'm asuming you all know the Celica is dead).

Lots of car makers sold cars that were unique to Canada. Even some Domestics were specifically Canadian models.

JDMJOSH1
Canada gets the Echo Hatchback, US get the scions (The Xa and Xb's being based off the Echo platform)

I was going to say don't waste your time with such a pidly engine on a miniscule car, but I went and checked it out. I'd actually consider this thing as a daily comuter.

2.4L Double overhead cam (DOHC) 16-valve VVT-i 4-cylinder 9.6:1 Compression, MPEFI

160 hp @ 5,700 rpm
163 lb.-ft. @ 4,000 rpm

2,905/2,970 lbs (manual/automatic)

4W-disk

Front MacPherson strut, Rear Double wishbone suspension, P215/45ZR17

Mileage Estimates (MPG City / Highway)
Manual 22/29
Automatic 23/30

Everything here is Standard

$21,684

-----------------------

Just to put that all in perspective, the Celica.

Pretty much the same specs, other than: 140hp and 125 lb.-ft. from a likely designed 1.8L with 10:1 compression; 5-spd or auto-4; 4W-disk not standard; 2425/2460 lbs (manual/automatic); 32/43 manual, 34/47 auto; P195/60R15.

$28,707

I want me a blingin' ride so's I can roll wit my hat on sidewayz, and rev at all de rustangs, werd.

SilverZ24
I think the Tc is a great looking coupe but the other Scion's look like ass. Still not as ugly as the Honda Element, but close.
