| Say if i were to get a low psi turbo around 6 psi or so would i really need an intercooler, just wondering. |

not absolutely needed...but recommended for sure:)
You'll just have a lot of hot air going into the motor therefore making less power than if you had an intercooler with the same amount of boost. |

| You could always pick up a side mount from a talon or supra from an autowreaker for cheap. An IC with that little of boost may not give the greatest HP gains, but when driving in hot weather, autocrossing, or just driving for long periods of time at high speeds an intercooler would protect the engine from high EGT's. |

Don't forget that hot air is an issue with detonation and such as well that can destroy your engine.

| I picked up my Audi FMIC for $40US off eBay...I believe it's 25x6x2.75...a good size indeed. |

LOL, nah stick to the auto-reaker!
i think basically you'll get more power with the same amount of boost by getting an intercooler, at the same time you'll have less chance of detonation since the air is cooler.
so you don't NEED one, but it would be a good idea to get one. |

| usually the pressure drop while the air is goin throguh the ic is more power loss tha nthe cool air will make u at such low boost. |

not really. since he is only running 6psi, the turbo can easily make up the 1~2pis pressure drop. i don't think there will even be 1~2psi pressure drop, since the intercool isn't that big at all.
the car will not lose power for sure with a intercooler. |
