20% tint all around too much? - Click HERE for Original Thread

sCream/cparkq
I really dislike uneven tint (20% in the back, 35% in the front)... but if i went 20% all around i think that would be too dark.. and 35% would be too light.. i dont want cops pullin me over (i know 35% is already illegal, but i dont think theyd mind that much).

What do you guys think i should do?

Clem
All depends what color your car is. Dark cars need dark tint.

My car has a 7% on the rear window and 17% along the sides with a 17% visor strip.

I can see my wheel!

:)

I have 0% in the back side windows. :)

clem> you dont get rassed by any cops about your tint?? can you see through the 7% tint that well? and btw, my car is silver

sCream/cparkq
ah its too late now, hehe.. 35% on the front two, 20% on the rear side windows, and 7% limo on the back window

All I know is that if you have 5% or darker and get pulled over the cop will try to rip it off your window, which happened to me and my friend at a Mac's store not long ago

The vehicle I drive has 35% on the two front driver/passenger windows.
And the rest of the windows are 7%(limo tint). Oh, and the strip on the front is just becuase of the windshield, it's not a tint strip, it's build in the windshield.
It is not hard for me to drive around. And I prefer the tint becuase vehicles behind can have really bright lights. Like trucks namely (I kinda' wonder sometimes that it probably would be better if some of those guys use highbeams so the light just goes over the car instead of directly at my eyes. :o ), or vehicles who don't have their lights adjusted properly, etc.

The two cars I drove before this one had the same set-up. Never got ticketed or pulled-over specifically becuase of the tint.

When I get my own vehicle I'd like to drive around with limo on all the windows. but that's when... for now not...

wtf? They can't do that. They can give you 48 hours to take it off and show up at a police station to prove it, they might even be able to tell you the car is not driveable and have it towed, but they can't rip stuff off of your car.

Yes they can abnd It has been done...razor blade in hand, they make you remove it on spot.

They can't physically do it without your permission, but they can tow your car if you don't comply.I know from personal experience
