Whats the best Online Store to buy aftermarket parts? - Click HERE for Original Thread

baker_jeff
What would you guys recommend? For service and selection and quality and all that? Are there any good ones that accept Paypal? I'd prefer something canadian....
Thanks!
Jeff

Support your local shops.

But if you must,

I do 95% of my car shopping online.

It is best to go to car specific shops and find them through car specific forums. Search for feedback on them and user experiences.

Example:
Owning an RX-7 and wanting trustworthy, good service, competitively priced shops, one would look to:
RX7store.net
Atkinsrotary.com
RacingBeat.com
GothamRacing.com
Corkssport.com
etc

good luck!

Yea car specific online shops are good i use Steeda.ca and WHMSracing for most of my parts.

For your 240sx, check out www.pdm-racing.com They are located in B.C. and i have heard pretty good things about them.

if you need tires, go to tiretrends.com. a business in bc.. they have good prices and it took me about 3 days to get my stuff.

modacar.com kicks ass, groupbuycenter.com is really good too, inlinefour.com is good for honda stuff.

there's lots, but i've never seen a canadian one where you could truly browse parts with a listed price, except that canadian tire link, they actually have decent prices from what I saw, $77for a B&M short shifter, that's not bad at all

scooby_dooby
wow, just checking prices on that driverfx site again, EXTREMELY competitive, ACT Prolite flywheel for $360 CDN,

I don't know about that...I priced out a sway bar and it was $100 more than I can get it for from another site - and that's after shipping and GST.

They must get parts for other cars cheaper than they can get parts for Grand Prix's.

I punish those guys regularly on pricing, there are people on this board who can vouch for that.

^^^^

Punish is an understatement.

I don't know how you pull those prices out your ass, but keep doing what you're doing.

Oh yeah, did I mention: Support your local shops?

I shop at E-Z, because everytime i find an online price, i go to kevin and he beats it before i even tell him the price. There is a lot of room to move on parts, just do your shopping. You generally can't get an online store to match or beat others prices.
That said, i have also bought off e-bay with decent luck, just have to watch the duty when bringing across the border, that'd be the same with online stores located in the US.
Good luck!!
