I have autoloc.... i bought straight from the site.

Its pretty expensive (cpl hundred buxs when alls done)

Dunno the exact cost of the kit, but im gonna guess around $200 plus $60 customs charge.
Then you'll pay about $200+ for install (if anyone but you does it... most places charge about $100-150 per door)
Then you'll have labor for shaving the handles, plus prep & paint.

I priced it out, its cheaper to order autoloc kits from the website then through a store... they add on their own fee's to the overall cost (to make a profit)

Although most things are cheaper if ordered straight from the distributor vs local shops:bthumbup:

Varies from car to car, shop to shop. Every shop will charge different, and every shop will do the job differently.

Mine was ~$400

Another thing, if you want to do this, don't plan on driving your vehicle at all in the winter. The doors will not pop if there is any ice/snow in between the door and the car.

Good point!
Never even thought of that...

Quinn security installed my friends door poppers.. did an excellent job too..

make sure you park your car in the winter with the windows DOWN, cuz you wont be able to pop your doors without a battery or one thats flat :)

make sure you also have atleast one manual latch (rear hatch or something) just in case your battery dies, or your door is "frozen" shut..

One bad thing about door poppers.. one time my friend was in a movie and he hit his "pop" button.. the door opened from inside the movie theatre and he hadda miss part of the movie to go outside and shut it again :)

Yeah and another problem I had was I was at the mall buying something, reached in my pocket to grab change and I must have hit both buttons at the same time. That made the fuse blow, and it was wired so that the fuse is in the car. Bad idea.

Also some, like mine, come with a feature that if the car is running the door wont pop open as you wouldnt want your door to fly open when driving. However that means if you run into your house and leave your car running you arent gonna be able to get back in to your car unless the window is down. I had that feaute removed.

I went to Audio Obsession. Talk to Kyle on Stony Plain Road, he does a great install
