I'm looking at options for storing my miata this year. My usual spot is stuff with furniture. So I'm considering the following:
- Pay for storage
- Build a canopy over the Miata in the backyard
- throw a couple of car covers over the Miata in the backyard
What do you guys recommend? |

If you value your paint i would find some indoor storage. The nice part about it is in spring you find your car sitting and waiting for you in the exact same condition that it was when you left it. If your going to cover it i would wrap it up tightly, so your car cover/tarp cannot move.

i'm storing my car as well & my dad has an appartment on 118Ave & 124st with multiple garages
singles & doubles, lockable & some are unused (unheated)

Yes, I to am on a quest for winter storage. I dont know of anyone with enough room in there garage so it looks like I am going to be paying for storage. no big deal, i just need something lined up before the weather gets nasty.
Any recommendations for places. I am on the south side. But price is more important than location. |

Hmmmm I wonder what a storage facility would cost. Might be a good idea to split with someone.

That is defiantly more than I want to spend. I would consider renting out space in someone’s garage for the winter, if someone had a clean stall available. If there is anyone who would like to make some money storing my car over the winter give me a shout.

I'm parked at a buddies place for $20 a month :bigthumbup:
Is it better or worse to park in a heated garage? I heard that if cars come in and out of the snow in a heated garage the condensation promotes internal rust. |

| there is an indoor arena at my house approx 175 feet long and 50 wide i doubt we are using it very much this winter. i might be able to hook some of you up. |

| Chances are it can be used, there is approx enough space to put 30 - 40 cars, we are installing electronic gates and security camera's soon, how does $10 a month sound? depending on how many people are interested i'll try to work somthing out :wavey: |

Unfortunately the place where I was gonna store it at might not be available. Another place where I have stored my previous cars the past few years is all filled up.
I WILL PAY $ :) Prefably unheated but has to be secure of course.
