I was wondering if anyone can help me out with this weird problem with my Alpine deck. The deck worked fine this morning, I came home, washed the car and rolled it into the garage. Later on I hopped in and put the key in the ignition, and the deck didn't start up. I checked all the fuses and when i look up, the deck is now on, displaying the current position of the track, but not actually playing.

The only buttons that registers is the source button where I can switch between radio/cd and the tilt button (changed the angle) works as well, the rest just beep, but nothing happens.

In Short:

- Deck doesn't turn on for a few mins after starting car
- None of the buttons (including eject) work

Thanks guys

Sounds like you need it serviced. If its not under any warranty take it to Stereo City Service. Give them a call they will be able to help you, 437-3800.

is this deck by any chance an MP3 deck? I had the same problem where nothing worked cept for the screen, it was because of my crappy Mp3 burning that caused the problem, heres how I fixed it

1. pop face off
2. turn on accessory power
3. pop face on
4. push eject

my deck has been working fine after that. I don't know if this is the problem with yours but you can always try it. slap in another cd if it works find problem solved if it doesn't work then i can't help you there :dunno:

Yea my deck is an mp3 deck and it was an mp3 cd in there. I was thinking it was a cd problem, the first thing i tried to do was eject the damn thing, i'll give it a try, thanks.
