has anyone had any work done there? such as an engine swap? was it done well? on time? within reasonable costs?
I'm interested in having them do my swap for me. Money situations will still determine whether or not it will happen. :fingersx: But I would just like to know of anyone here who has done business with them.
thnx for input |

I've been happy with them so far. But they didn't do anything on the scale of an engine swap on my car.
They did suspension work, injectors, installed a wideband O2, fixed my custom brakes, that kind of stuff. They had to go through my sound system to get the rear springs installed, and I haven't seen a scratch on the system.

I am the manager/worker/shop hand /the guy that does almost everything i can in that place. If you haven't been down to our store please stop by during the week sometime, there is almost always something of intrest going on. We welcome any questions or just checking us out is cool with us. If this means anything to you; when i took that store over about 7/8 months ago i had eight differant techs work for me just to find the right ones that could do it all. Some of those guys were automotive techs for 2-19 years. Out of the bunch only two made it. |

I'm curious about that Midas location. I always happen to go down 75 st a lot and pass by that Midas. Sometimes I see (somewhat) modified cars being worked on in there. Performance cars dept in there too? |

Well I am VERY happy with Midas. Did my tranny change in less than a day, everything went smoth. I will definetly get ALL my work done there that I cant do on my own. Good prices! Good work, and I recomend to everyone. Only complaint is one of the techs mucked up my intake pipe and didnt whipe it off. For me I dont care because I am more about the performance than the look, but this would piss some people off big time. Other than that, everything works great. I give two thumbs up!
Oh and there is no performance shop, but I think they can order stuff from catalogs, would have to check yourself. |

Midas St Albert really screwed up our brakes on an Acura TL and we're pissed with them... they claim that its our fault the car doesn't brake as good as it did before we took it in for NEW brakes. Like I said Pissed, so dont go to the one in St. Albert, they won't do anything good for you.
As for the one here in question. I'd be willing to even try this one, lots of good things to be heard around this board and from people I know.
Hey Focusfool, since you're the manager, what does it cost for brakes to be done on a 1983 mazda rx7 gsl? I also need exhaust, something throaty and not like my ultra lawnmower exhaust now. What are my options with that? If you have a chance e-mail me at sunydayz@hotmail.com, please. |

As for you Acura TL i would galdly take a look at it for you. Any Midas is able to take care of problems from another. Please give us a call and tell us the problem and get it down and we will see what we can do for you. The mazda is tuff ot say at that age (not suggesting its in poor shape) you realy need to take a good look at the differant componants of the braking system. Imports last ust longer than domestics due to the quality that goes into them. But a basic (replace pads, machine rotors, lubricate, and inspect) can be anywhere from 130-250 front or rear( usally about the same costs) depening what kid of warrenty you wish to have none, 1 year or lifetime>
thanks. |
