Hey guys I'm new to the board here, but I'm looking for some assistance.
I have a 302 with an Edelbrock 650cfm Performer carb that I am not 100% happy with the way I have it tuned.
Is anyone on the board here REALLY good at tuning an Edelbrock.
I need some help and someone else's opinion if I have it tuned right.
Thx -Ryan\

I've found the best way is to do it yourself - when you do things like change jets/rods/hangers/idle mixture it's all about driving it for a bit, then deciding if you want to go one size up/down.
Unless you can find a friend/neighbour, I'd definetely look into doing it yourself. It's not overly hard if your carb isn't an emissions type....And as I said - you have to drive it to get the perfect tune/combination. |

Yeah that's what I have been doing.
Like I said I'm not 100% happy with it, and I keep hearing that the Eddies are a pain to get just right.
So I am looking for someone to have a look at my carb that is really good at setting up the Edelbrocks.
I could probably keep playing with it all summer long. |

Come out to one of the Mainstreet Cruisers meets, either on Wednesday at the Wendy's on 66 st and 28th Ave, or on fridays to the A&W/Second Cup on 137th Ave and 116st. There are usually lots of cars, and the members are there to help with any questions you may have.

| Just take it to ProStock, pay a couple bucks and get them to do it right the first time. |

Now we are getting somewhere.
Thanks 2003specv
Any other suggestions....even if its your buddy or something, just as long as they have set-up and tuned an Edelbrock. |

Check the phone book to see if Magoo's is still around.
He is at the track all the time - as his son runs an alcohol car there. Back in the day, Bob (I keep thinking that's his first name) was a really good guy.
As for bigger shops - there's always Campbell's, they're fairly large engine builders here in the city. |
