You dont want to "blow your money" but you are buying an in-dash DVD player?

If you do end up buying one I would go for the warranty. From what I have seen they arent extremely reliable yet.

oh ya sorrie it is a in-dash dvd player, touch screen of coarse, so i was thinking maybe the screen would kinda fad if i keep pressing the same spot over time, or maybe how it comes out can break easy, just wondering if they break b4 say 4 years, cause if they don't usually i don't know if i would go for the extended warenty

All our IPaq's here are work are touch screen (Like any PDA) and I've never heard of a complaint with them.

Further - Fujitsu has been making laptops for YEARS with touchscreen, and I've seen them after they've been used for years, with no apparent problems in the screen.

I'd assume that the In-Car Touch Screen manufacturers employ similar technologies, so there shouldn't be a problem either way.

As well, I'd assume there would be problems in the winter, the same way you have problems with your cell phone screen as it gets cold. I've personally never left a laptop in my car overnight in the winter, but I assume until it warms up things will appear very slowly on the screen....
