| I just changed my signal lights because one was burnt out, flashing like mad fast...driving me nuts. But all that we had were red bulbs for now (yucky, but i'm not overly picky). However...is that legal? Does anyone know what colors are legal there? Am I gonna get pulled over by some cop saying "you're young. you're asian, you drive a two door with a spoiler. AND you have the WRONG COLOR OF LIGHTS! Here's a $5000000 fine for you."? |

The are illegal. Only if you get caught. I got caught with the red windshield washer LED's in mine. 109 fine. What a crock? My friend was speeding in his 87 Tempo and I was going the speed limit. My friend would've gotten a bigger fine if they pulled him over. When you asian, blond(I was blond at the time with no ties to the gangs), and drive a japanese car. You get pulled over.

legal colors in the front: amber and white.
legal colors in the back: red and amber (white only for backup).
everything else is begging for a fine and a lot of hassle (not that driving a nice import car isn't legitimate cause for recieving hassle :) ). |

| Even if your white and drive a honda you'll get pulled over though, i had the red LED washer nozzel lights and red park lights the cop pulled me over asked what i was doing in the town i was in, searched my car and made me rip off the lights in the middle of the street. I cant even count how many times i have been followed by police, had my car searched or even just told i was in the wrong place. One night i got pulled over 3 times in 2 hours and had my car searched twice for absolutly no reason at all. Fact is now if you drive a import you might as well get used to being treated like that especially when your young |

I must have good luck. Been pulled over a couple times for no reason just to check to see why I was where I was but I got no hassles or even a warning about my blue washer LED's. I am white and they were RC's not city cops maybe they have diff priorities.

It's not an asian thing - its an import thing. Cops can rarely tell who drived what, and a lot of asians are blond these days too.

It's not just an import thing.... it's a young male thing. About 6 months ago when I still had my Silver Chevy Blazer I got pulled over by the cops just because I was a "young" (I'm 23) male in an SUV. The fuckers drove up beside me on Highway 2 south, shined their search lights into my eyes from beside me for about 30 seconds and then pulled me over. Oh ya, they rode my ass for about a minute before that... I was so tempted to lock up my brakes.
I now have a Blue WRX... no such problems (knock on wood :fingersx: ) |

| Its a young thing! It was the first week of April and my plates experiered in March, it was during the week so I was going to wait till the weekend when I was off work to get new ones. Fuckin young jelous cop pulls me over for it!!!!!!! Gave me a ticket and everything. Im usual the first to defend a cop cause theyt do have a hard job, but when situations like what I decribed and some of you did its know wonder no one likes them. |

You got pulled over for those as well eh? Me too. I was totally pissed off that I was going the speed limit. My friend in his then 87 Tempo(Just broke down on him recently) was going 30 over and the pig didn't even bother to pull him over. I'm sure my friend would've gotten a much more of a fine then my 103 dollar fine. For F sakes.
They will think of anything to pull you over if you drive an import in this bloody city. What a crock. |

I agree some cops are bad, but I got pulled over once for missing a stop sign and the cop let me go. I knew it was my fault too. But yeah he was one of the nice cops. |
