My run is in red and his is in blue. We both have the same Greddy EVO exhaust. I have the AEM CAI and he has the AEM V2.

I bought it used from an old DC5AB memebr. I know Matrix is having a sale, you may find one there for a good price, I did on my exhaust.

Although you are lacking on the torque ......... its nice that the torque curve is relatively flat accross the entire power band.

Cuious? Whats with the blip on HP and torque at ~5800 rpms

Not sure about butt dyno, never rode in a type s.

But when one is on a dyno and it has an intake and exhaust, prepare to shit your pants if you're standing near the front of the car. When it kicks in it sounds like the engine blew up.

Ya, my friend and i test drove a 97 teg type r at the Erickson dealership a couple weeks ago, it had a cold air intake and exhaust, when stepping on the gas u hear CAI and exhaust but once we reached 6000 u hear an even louder sound kinda cool.

My favorite part is when the vtec kicks in and everything gets louder, but you don't accelerate any faster.:D Nice numbers you put down there, Pascal. I'm sure once Aaron gets back you two will have to turbo both your cars:fingersx: :bthumbup:

Nah lol vtec is all we have , give us a break. No one said vtec was the best straight out but with a tuned engine , proper exhaust and intake it does it job. Granted a lot of people dont let the vtec breathe properly and less power comes out but whatevs. I stand by vtec, and if i get my turbo in, Chad you are so mine :D

seem like chad get into lot of hot water everyon wants piece of him.. (chad if someone kicks ur rx let me know we will swap with jason's car or even my own)

I would image so.

On most NA's you would see the power band drop past 5K.... So you would feel a loss in acceleration on most other cars but at least the power continues to build up in a straight line.

The engine keeps breathing and you have usable power throughout the higher rpms

your 232 was taht this year

All you did was put an FMIC, ground wiring kit and RB exhaust on this year(for engine mods), and yes now you have an S-AFC II. You still have more mods then me. You even dynoed with an Upgraded S5 Knightsport turbo. Im still stuck on the stock ancient Hiatchi Turbo!

plan may not be to keep N/A or it will be to change engine or maybe not ;) my plan is to not beat them in HP but down the road, i am a lighter :D i dont need same HP to the wheels to win.

By no means am i sayin Vtec owns all, just vtec does the job it was ment to, and it does it fairly well not great but wutevs

THey arent shit for the last time, they do there job end of story. Its a plumber, it aint pretty but the job gets done. Most of you are use to vtecs with no proper intake and exhaust. allowin the vtec to have the extra breathin power allows it to have some alright pop.

Just ask Chad how fast my car goes from 5700 to 9 grand.

Some vtec people think its the shit, its not. But its not the worst thing ever invented.

you must be mistaken as i ran out of money last year i am running teh stock hitatchi turbo just liek you and older one from conroy pile of useless turbos

my kinightsport so call modified s5 turbo goes on this winter.:eek: :eek: then u better run and hide :cool:

My bad on the kightsport turbo. I recall you telling me you have it just not having it on. And how is your turbo older then mine? 87 was the first year of the turbos for the 2nd gens, and guess what? my car is an 87!

I mean if you have the money, which you obviously do to get a civic to 12.xx's, but how much did that all cost you?.... ahell of alot more then anyother vehicle to get it to that hp mark, thats forsure.

under 7grand for all engine work thats with a turbo or supercharger added to that. I got my engine and tranny for 750 so

Also back the reply catch up at 120mph. Its not like every gear i shift to i start back at idle speed.

After i shift out of 1st i am vtec all the way threw my gears. I beat most cars off the line cause i am light. So most times i am not crawlin back at 120mph they are crawlin back to me at 75-90mph after 110mph i got the depth to take most people all the way.

Anyways if you have anymore beefs about my car , i am not answerin them. You dont seem to understand some basic concepts of vtec and shiftin. And dont understand what 200hp on a civic is.

Also you dont understand how expensive things are, and if i have hook ups or not.

I suggest in the future you ask first, then start makin statements on how expensive and how fast cars go.

the reason these engines have no torque is because they're 2litre n/a, not becuase "VTEC's shit", whether it's a 1.8litre i4 or 5litre v8 hacing the option of using 2 seperate cam profiles will always give you a stronger powerband.

well maybe if you realized that he probably launches at 5000rpm you might "see the justice"

somehow the honda engineers manage to figure out a way to utilize gears so that the engine never falls out of VTEC when racing...those crazy guys
