Speedometer problems???!!? - Click HERE for Original Thread

ALIAS81
I have a 95 integra RS and my speedo gauge is all screwed up. The needle sits at about 15-20 kms/h when its at a stand still. And when i accelerate, itll fluctuate depending on what speed im going. Once i hit about 60 the needle all of a sudden jumps up to 60. and Sits there till i hit about 100km/h. then itll jump to 100km/h. And once its there it just sits there. So i cant tell what speed im going, or if im even going 100 km/h. i have a fair idea of how fast im going but it would be nice to have this fixed.

Anybody have any ideas as to what the problem is? wiring? fuse? etc.
any help would be much appreciated, Thanks,

sounds like you're speedo isn't getting a good signal. my guess is its a wiring issue.

Sounds to me like the speed sensor is going.

any idea how to fix it? or is it a dealership type fix??

taking apart your facia/dash can be a pain in the ass, reconnecting all the dials and switches afterwards with limited space even more so... if you have dash vents/speaker covers which are removable, makes it a bit more bearable... take it from me, in reconnecting a heating rod after speaker issues, i messed up the vent controller lines, had to go to the stealership.

that's assuming it's wiring behind the gauge cluster, it's prolly cheaper to get the shop to fix it than it is to buy the appropiate book and do it yourself (though manuals pay off later ^_^ )
