I was wondering waht all i need to do to intall subs in my car. things like how to run power to the amp ????? plz help

Mustard
ummm.... take it to a shop.

If you dont't even know how an amp werx, you should prolly save yersefl the heartache and just pay up now.

Then again, the only way to learn, is to try....and fail :p

pick up a amp kit. has everything you need.

You need a deck that has the proper sub outs as well. If you have researched everything you are fine. If you are new to it. I suggest going to get it installed and watching them.

It is not hard at all to install however, its fairly easy to screw it up as well and blow a fuse, not get enough power to the sub, over power the sub blah blah blah. Blow the amp something like that. So yeah, if u are totally new to it, i suggest getting someone to do it and watching them

probly the hardest part is fitting the subs in the trunk.. or running the powerwires themselves..

with all the adapter harnesses and stuff nowdays, they've made it pretty easy..

Do your self a favor and stay away from the "bundles" that International Stereo sell.... actually just stay away from international stereo in all cases..

With a sunfire you will get massive rattle REAL quick, Do not face the subs towards the trunk face the seat. Yes may cut down sound but limits rattle which Sunfires and Cavs are known for.

thx ill prbly take it to a & b or jbs and let them do it. does anyone know how much that might cost???? my subs are already preboxed and the amp is wired tot he subs already(bought used off step-dad)

LOL TRUE DAT! I fried my entire system once by trial and error. The deck, amp, everything.

If you don't know how to get power to the amplifier, don't touch it yourself. Not even buying an amp wiring kit will help you as far as the acual install goes.

You pay by hour ithink, its not that much. I suggest makin a friend who knows car audio and buy him like mcdicks and stuff thats how i learnt.

Either way take it to them and ask if u can watch the install. I am takin a random guess at 50 bucks for install
