do i hook up my stereo subs correctly? I have 2 Alpine Type R 12" DVC subs. They are 4+4ohm and i am running a 2 channel phenoix gold amplifier.
The BOTTOM box is the OLD box i had and it pounded like a mother focker. The new box, shown above, is NOT ported and it is alot smaller and i am trying to figure out the correct way to wire the subs. Right now i have it hooked up exactly like the diagram shown beside the top subbox from alpine's website (www.alpine.com). I bridged the outpout and wired it up according to alpine. But for some reason, i cannot seem to get very much bass out of it this way. I played around with my xover freq and gain etc but nothing helped the matter.. ANY IDEAS?!?!

Your subs are probly out of phase with each other..

eg: when one is pushing out, the other is pulling in.. they are cancelling each other out :)

your old box is ported. The subs you have are designed for a posted box and dont have dule chamber. Also try a battery test to cheak your phase.
