Hey if anyone knows how I can fix a problem of mine, the advice would be appreciated...

I have Telus DSL internet right now and I am trying to use the Netzero free dial up service...When trying to connect to netzero, it dials and its not busy, you can hear the handshake signals, but then it never ends up holding a connection or showing that it is connected. Is the DSL signal interfering with the dial up signal? Would i have to cancel the DSL service before it would connect with regular dial up? should i be using the DSL phone jack filter/ not be using it (i'v tried both ways still not working)...anybody know how i can get connected?

test your modem with your telus dialup account.. you recv 5free hrs a month with your dsl package..
same username and passwd as your email..

dialup number... i have no idea.. i think its 429-0000 or something.

You could try disabling the local area network interface, and then trying to dialup.. its probly hanging up because its idle.. all network traffic would go thru your lan connection by default

why in the world are you using dialup when you have dsl?

the internet is just for my parents and they use it probably 8 hours a month and only to check email...so i want to get rid of my $34.95 DSL bill and change to free dial up....
