| Ok, well this is a warning to all to watch what you do. Just tonight as I was driving my g/f home, I got pulled over by a traffic officer. Now this isnt your local cop, no, these bad boys are out in search of things to ding you on your car. Put it this way, in the span of 5 km's I saw no fewer than 4 cops tonight, most with flashers on. This was all in sherwood park, on Sherwood Drive, but just though you guys might want to know this. If anyone has seen my car, they can say its pretty much stock. Well this guy knows his stuff. He quoted me 105$ find for my non-stock exhaust ( if youve heard my car, its NOT loud like your regular coffee cans ) and 210$ for my underbodies (which IMO is bs because my ticket for them was only 57$, not the 210$ he said). Thankfully, he was in a good mood and let me go, but put it this way, I wont be driving with the underbodies on for another couple of weeks. My guess.. school is in and that means more people on the road, and in many cases, more younger guys with modded cars on the road that they will pull you over for. So if youve got silencers for your mufflers, id suggest thinking of putting them on for a short while, that way, it isnt very noisy. Its also making me consider to get my ass off the couch and get some tips to put on that resemble a stock GASE ( It looks pretty stock but you will notice my tip is only a single direct out tip and not the Y or twin tip found in GASE's or the dual Y's on a GAGT ). Anywho, just thought id warn you guys to watch out. And just curious, any idea why he quoted me 210$ for underbodies? |

Could this be in reaction to the recent death caused by streetracing. Yes they were Corvettes but anyone with a car that does not fit the stock bill would probably get more attention from the police anyway. If you stand out in a crowd people will notice you and isnt that what you wanted anyway. Unfortunately you got the wrong kind of attention. From your avatar your underglows look blue, is that the correct color?
I think we need to pay more attention to our driving at this time of year due to increased traffic and school being back in. Little ones are out and about and may not be paying as much attention to the roads as they should. |

| Yea, my neons are blue. And, Yes, to my knowledge its only a 57$ ticket, not the 210$ he quoted me, but Im not going to be arguing in any case. Also again today, I noticed many more cops about on the street. I dont know if this is a 'Park thing, but watch out. |

if you start a new insuranc epolicey after oct 1 it will most likely go down dramtically.
mine will go down from a $9000 quote to less then 4k |

| On my 82 Camaro Z28, I was quoted $8200/year as the cheapest rates when I turned 16 back in the day.... I'm 20 now and pay $1800/year on pretty much any car i insure. So that's why i'm worried about my rates going up :S |

i have a carless driving charge/speeding ticket and a at fault accident.
I just turned 19, when i was 18 i was quoted $13000, fucking stupid if you ask me cause i know I can drive better then any woman out there thats paying less then $1000 per year.
thank god for the insurance reform. |

Careless driving tickets used to give you the same surcharge on insurance that you would get with an Impaired Driving conviction. Don't know what they are now but they were a 6 demerit hit and considered mucho bad news.
Tack on an at-fault accident and you can easily double that cost.
Let's see, high risk age group, at-fault accident history, and one of the worst tickets you can get. Three for three in the insurance sweepstakes! |

carless driving was a %150 increase,I luckely never had to pay for the high insurance rate, I crashed my car in Janruary -insuracne company found out in april and kicked my ass off.
Now i just wait til october, I know $4000 ayear seems like alot to some epople but its cheap to me:blink: |

omg you guys in AB get so screwed over on insurance..i mean i am PAYING ALOT of insurance for my car right now and i live in BC
i am currently paying $260/month for full coverage and that is witha 15% discount!
so what's that like $3120/year and i don't even drive it a full year....hmmmm

hey i pay 3980 under my parents policy, i consider it cheap, it dropped 500 when i switched to the mr2.
When i had the integra i got quotes for my own policy and it was never cheaper than 9 grand.
With the mr2 i asked Millenium it was 6500 for full coverage, but i need full coverage, they say, but i cant afford that.
When i reinsure my car in May, im goin on my own policy cause it should be 1900 a year.:fingersx: |

Your what, 16-17 right stealth? I'm turning 20, no accidents, only 1 speeding ticket, and for any car I've had insured its been adleast $3400/yr without collision. Where did you get that quote for $1900?! cuz I want a quote from them too! |

| well i consider myself one of the lucky few... i pay about $110 a month for just plpd, with 4 speeding tickets and one seat belt (if that counts) luckily my moms now affraid to drive so im under her name, but once im 18 i got to get my own:( got quoted at $6300 for my crx, arrg i can't wait till october |
