| A turbo / S/C?. Sigh, some will do anything to get rid of turbo lag ;) |

would that even have a benifit?
a good blower wont let air pass when the belts not turning it. so it can only let as much air as the belt will let it suck in. so the turbo air would only be able to move as fast as the belts letting the sc move.....
seems like a waste of money to me |

Umm, ok...
Obviously, just a display engine someone had setup at a car show. If i remeber correctly, the lancia delta/hks twincharged mr2 have a clutch on the supercharger, that turn off after 8 psi or so and then the turbo takes over for high boost. |

Reminds me of the abortion that ProDrag/Zippies made.
and silksheets, you don't know what your talking about. |

please correct where I went wrong... I was asking a question.
I dont know anything about the tiny blowers on a civic engine. The blowers I know about are damn near the size of the engine, and made for large displacement engines. They will not run without the the screws turning, cause no air makes it bast.
I'm using that to base my observation.
with using that, the turbo wouldnt be able ot push more hen the sc would allow..... and that would be based on how fst the belt is letting the screws move.
THe clutch thing would make it work on the sc, but still seems like alot of work for minimal gains, there are curtainly better ways around turbo lag. |

Except the one Mike built actually runs. He just cheaped out on engine management. :p |

Like nitrous?
That works if you want to keep filling the bottle.
Twin Charging works very well when executed correctly, you can run a HUGE, EFFICIENT, turbo and eliminate the lag with a roots style supercharger. Once installed, all you have to do is change the oil. Alot cheaper in the long run than filling a bottle every week so you can run a 75-100 shot to spool that same huge efficient turbo. |

it would work, but it will be a bitch to tune.....
how come there is no ic on that engine?? |

biulding the power into the engine first helps too.
I guess it depends what your going for, seems like a bitch to install, and evne more to tune. |

A couple years ago a guy down east did it on his DSM and would tell anyone/everyone who asked how to set it up.
Apparently, besides the custom mounting work/custom manifold, he said it was relatively simple.
I think he only got 1000-1500 for the setup when he sold it too.... |
