Do I look like a weather man or a fortune teller? I have no idea but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it atleast doesn't rain. I can handle the cold or wind... |

All events will be cancelled if it rains. This is at the discretion of Budpark.
Believe me, with the promo $ we put into this, we're the ones who are worried the most!
If it is too cold but dry, things like the bikini contest will be cancelled or changed into a sportswear competition. |

Forget that. I'll rent a huge propane heater to keep the ladies warm.

are you joking? i hope so, because these events arent cheap for v8less, then thers advertising...... give your head a shake dude, whos in business to lose money. mark and his crew work extremely hard to put these events together, and i know for one they lost a chunk of money on one event this yr. lets see some support for the guys that do what others are to lazy to do. |

s'all good.
It will warm up in a few days and stay that way for about a week and a half to two weeks. It won't be suntanning weather, but it will allow the farmers to finish their harvest. Happens every year.
SilverTeg, I know what you mean. It cost our club over $5,000 to advertise for our show, rent the grounds, pay the emergency crews, and many other expenses, just to get rained out within two hours of the first day.
It took a lot of effort from every member of our club, and the support of our sponsers to make our rain-out day in August a success, as it cost that amount again, and then some.

We are always behind the V8less events "110%"
We have lots of flyers on our showroom
Our models have been more than eager to distrubute the Flyers especially at MELTDOWN and the girls are still doin flyers at there leisure and carry flyers with them in there cars for easy distribution on the girls part
so if you receive a flyer from a pretty lady chances are that its one of E-Z Motorsports eager and dedicated Models
Good luck Mark
Mark make sure you make a deal with  Mother Nature :fingersx: and we will show up with a Sh*T Load of Rides for the last event of the year !!!

| I wouldn't listen to the Weather Network though. They are smoking some serious drugs over there... never get the forecast right. |

pretty hard to be 100% accurate, let alone in AB. |

Weather forecasts are unreliable until 2 days before the event. I don't expect 20+ weather, but if we can manage to stay dry I think most racers will be happy.
Now for the horndogs - no gaurantees. |

I will aim to update everyone on Saturday afternoon the latest.
There will be updates on the Budpark hotline, 780tuners and www.Sportcompactchallenge.ca |

The questions remains as to why an event like this would be scheduled so late in the year anyways. Based on edmonton weather, the last week the track is open seems like an odd choice. Given the current forcast, it seems that the 4 series V8less event is going to turn out to be only one calgary event that hardly anyone went to.
If the last event gets rained out, how will the prize money be awarded for the overall series win? Given that i won class A in calgary, I guess that would make me the overall winner. But given that there was no prize money given out for that event afterall, I doubt the prize money for the overall win will be much either.

Like you need the cash, j/k.
Prize money essentially comes from the entrance money of the competitors...it's hard to award the prize money when their is no event to raise the funds.
That's my take anyway, though I have no idea of the actual dealings...
edit, just looked at the web, doesn't say anything about prize money :dunno: |

| The weather is starting to look a little more promising, the chance of rain just keeps dropping. The temperature looks to probably be in the 12-14 range, which the turbo cars will just love! |

True, there is no mention of prize money now, but I am almost certain it listed prize money before the event. Nonetheless, I don't care.

Actaully, I stand corrected. Markis is sending me the money so i was incorrect to say prize money wasn't sent out.
