A great day at Apex once again. Thanks to all the Apex guys for their help and going out of their way to squeeze a couple extra cars on. I know that I for one was pleased with the results, Mark also was very pleased......actually I can't think of anyone who wasn't happy with how the day turned out.
Most impressive of the day had to be the 4 Dodge diesels that were out. One of them laid down over 800lb/ft of torque at the wheels at only 1600rpm!
I was happy with my numbers at 247whp(I predicted between 240-250) and 354lb/ft wtq(a shitload more than I predicted!). Can't wait to get some stuff upgraded so I can go crank up my boost and punch a hole through my block while on the dyno....hehe.
Thanks again!

Yeah we were all blown away with your run. You reign supreme at hp per $!
The Miata managed 210rwhp and 232 lb/ft at 12psi with lots of tuning room according to Adam
This puts me at 10.5 hp per 100lbs! Not too shabby considering its been boosted for 5 years now.
Time for me to get that 6pt cage and hit the strip!
It was a fun dyno day . |

| those r pretty good numbers, but that 800lb/ft of torque at 1600rpms is nuts!! |

awesome numbers!!!
what has to be done in preparations to get a car dynoed?
anything with reading the ignition???
*remembers his crazy dyno graph @ Stew's...* |

what has to be done for a dyno.... umm start your car, nothing else needed, stew's dyno is a joke.
When did Apex get an optical pickup for the deisels? |

I think my only claim to fame yesterday was "most power from a 4 cyl". My car managed 271 RWHP and 305 RWTQ at 16 psi.
I guess my other title would be " Most oil leaked while on the dyno" :)

I must have been the lowest (if not 2nd) hp and torque of the day :( Lots of work to do now that I know where the car stands.
172 hp and 176 ft lbs
Compared to other SHO's that have dyno'ed stock around 190-200 hp and torque I am way down on power. |

I dunno, Mark may have had you there.
Your numbers were damn impressive Justin! If only my car weighed as little as yours it would be in the 12s already. |

Yeah that's why I'm wondering what has to be done because @ Stew's you have to have the ignition read and it does some math or calculations with it...I believe it is similar with the dyno @ PE-Tuning...you need an ignition reading
it just so happens that my coilpack is a little messed...not enough that it needs to be replaced but just enough that it messes up a dyno reading.... |

Same thing would happen on the Dynojet, unless they use the optical, which Stew's Dyno has had for over a year and Apex just recently got.
All chassis dyno's require some source of ignition pickup to scale the horsepower and torque.
If your coil pack is fucked, fix it. It isn't the chassis dyno's problem, it is but a machine with a computer. As with all computers it is GI=GO, Garbage In=Garbage Out. |

Never said it was the dyno's problem, you must've misunderstood me.
At the moment I don't have much need to fix the coil pack but if the time ever comes, I will fix it. |
