Hi Everyone,
since it looks like we're on the subject of winter storage :(
just wondering if any of use car covers..
i'm planning on getting one up in the near future but wanted to see if there was anything I should be looking for when picking one up.. or are they pretty much all the same..
any particular brands that are better or where to pick one up from? i'm looking for a good quality one...
I understand that no matter what when putting it on or even taking it off there is a good possibility of getting fine scratches...
is there a type of material underneath the car cover that is not as abrasive on the paint... (that's if you have the option of choosing)
OR
even if it's going to be stored in a garage is it even worth getting a car cover.. reason I wanted to get one is that if it's going to be stored for an extended period of time.. just worried if the dust buildup on the car will actually damage the car's paint finish... true/false?
just wanted to see your guys/gals thoughts on this...

hey jp, if you're parking your car inside the garage, just make sure its breatheable (i.e cotton only)
thats what i do and and you saw my paint :D
btw, who's the girl standing on your seats?! Can she stand on my seats too? :lol: |

yah I saw your paint finish on the S2k.. it's absolutely gorgeous.. :) where did you pick up your car cover if you don't mind me asking?
btw the girl standing in my car would be Francine Dee..
she's an import model from the states..
I just bought those seats a few days before the show too ..
She was wearing like 7 inch highheels... good thing she didn't puncture the seats..

yeah, no thanks on the seats and th girl then.... maybe if she took off the heels??? :bthumbup:
for my cover, i just picked it up at crappy tire :eek: It's actually pretty thin, but thick enough to prevent any dust from settling.
.... since you're storing it in the garage, you dont need one of those expensive covers cuz they're usually meant for outdoor storage. |
