I know it's up to the owner and it's his decision, but to other people some things just don't go with others. For example, any normal person wouldn't put 19" chrome dubz on a Geo. My question is, is it "clean" as far as looks go to open up a trunk to find two different audio companies? For example Rockford Fosgate subs, but Audiobahn amplifiers. What's your opinions?

I dont really see a downside to mix-matching... I mean half of the amps are mfg'd in the same place anyhow.. just different cases :)
Ive always mix-matched.. I really like panasonic decks, but their amps/subs are quite bad. I like MTX subs and amps, but never could like their tweets.... etc.

There is nothing wrong with mixing/matching, as there are some amp manufacturers that make amazing amps, but do nothing on the speaker side of the industry.

nothing wrong with mixing and matching :) I do it in my car too. Real clean sound but as for cracking open the trunk and looking it all depends on the way it's set up I guess like if your amps blend in with your subs/surroundings etc...

I prefer to mix in my two favorite companies, Alpine and JL. IMO, alpine subs are kinda weak hence why I went with JL's. As for amps, its a real toss up, same for speakers. My deck is panasonic but I still prefer alpine decks.

it won't be as slick as if everything was the same, but what do you care about most, listening to your stereo, or opening the trunk and showing people?
