Golf tips for newbies! - Click HERE for Original Thread

This golf shit is addicting! I'm actually thinking more about it than my car...shiet...

Anyways I started a thread on Honda-Tech just asking for tips & equipment suggestions...it turned into what I and many other HT members consider a really good & informative thread.

If you're just getting into golf or would like to see what others say & suggest in a general aspect...check it out!
I'm giving it 5 stars & 2

The best suggestion I can give is to take lessons from a well known pro, pay attention..... then practice.

Don't just practice your long game but practice your short game (the irony is that many ppl come up short with their short game).

on nine I take it...its all good

Damn Terry, you shot an 87 and you're just starting out? That's pretty damn good. I haven't hit the 80s since high school. Although I was about 10" shorter then and my clubs didn't grow with me unfortunately.:dunno:

REFLUX
guys...you MUST be misunderstanding me
I shot 87 on NINE (9) holes

87 is what people should shoot on EIGHTEEN (18) holes

ChromeDragon
Bahahahahhaha, ok that's a little more in line.

I should really get some new clubs. I wonder if I'd still be able to hit the 80s if I got some clubs that fit me and played more than 1 or 2 times a year? Personal best is a round of 83 back in the high school championships in grade 10. I only joined the golf team because it was 4 days off school and 4 free rounds of golf.

I was going to join the golf team in school.... decided not too b/c I golfed every day @ the country club anyhow! :D

For the amount that I used to golf I should be a damn pro!!! I'm not! i usually shoot between 90-120 depending on the round (and how many balls I loose :P)
