so despite all my recent car troubles...well one trouble (blowing my head gasket) I had some decent luck looking for a winter beater. in the bargin finder i saw an 87 ls intregra 4 door all it said was runs well...so i went and checked it out. it was listed for 500 bucks so that caught my eye right away! lol:D when i got to the guys house i saw the body was rusted i was like meh thats doesnt phaze me owning a 2nd gen u get used to that lol
:lol: checked it out interior was dirty but clean, fully loaded power everything except for mirrors (cruice a/c locks, windows) took a look at the engine (d18a1) looked as if ther was a valve cover gasket leak but for 500 bills im not complaining...the guy tells me its his sister inlaws car and she'll take what she can get for it im like ok...lol took a look at the k's 181 000 WHOA thats lower then some guys 4th gens...:blink: :bthumbup: so we take it for a drive brakes (find out they were done 4 months ago or so) are great handling is soild AUTO tranny is good (find out later its been rebuilt) exaust was redone because of a worn flex pipe. engine feels awesome idles like new...to shorten this story i offered the guy 250 he said 300 and i said soild lol....got it inspected everythings soild...except this car has torchsion bars (spelling) and one of them is almost pooched so it has to be replaced...just thought i would let u know my luck....theres still alotta shit out there if neone is lookin to park there car right away i would suggest taking alot asap....:bthumbup: |
