Amazing machine. Good looks and a powerful engine to back it up. Plus its got the name of a legend behind it. I wonder what type of 1/4 mile times it would click off, and how fast it would be around a track...

Its a nice car, but I'm a little cheesed that they went and redid the Daytona like this. After the GT and that new edge V10 cobra concept they did I would have hoped that Jay and the boys would have been able to come up with at least one original idea instead of just rehashing the older ones.

i hope it can go farther on a tank of gas then the gt40 can

gt40 or the GT

personally i could give to shits about the mileage i get if i had a car like that. My car only gets 10-12 MPG now, i could care less. I would still fill it whenever i needed even if premium was 2 bucks a litre

That why you're a car guy. Because it doesn't matter as long as you can have you're toy. :D

exactly, if you're driving something like this or a fordGT then you're obviously not going to bitch and complain because you dont get good gas mileage.
its the price you pay.

thats kinda like bitching about the non-power windows in the enzo ferarri... B.F.D.

the design looks like a straight rip-off of the Aston Martin DB-9. not suprising considering Ford owns them, of course originality is not something they have alot of lately

Thats a stretch dont you think? I could say they ripped off the Toyota 2000GT with that car and toyota ripped off someone else.

That is exactly where Mr. Shelby ripped the lines off of.

Not to take away from the man, but again, this is a world or copy this, copy that. If someone else comes up with an original design, you better believe that someone else is going to steal some "inspiration"

I don't think it is the cost of operation so much as the overall practicality of the car.
225 Km/tank on average for the GT.
You couldn't even go to Calgary on a full tank of gas.

Thats a really good way of looking at it.. HONDA OWNS YOU because all its cars get good gas mileage, as long as you don't mess with them to much.

That's great. They're mostly all slow as ass too, if you don't mess with them A LOT!

Again, why would you compare a Honda to a Shelby? Damn it people. Leave the fruit basket alone. To many people comparing apples and oranges.

DB-9 came before this...
