The #1 way to scare me is not to tell me important stuff - Click HERE for Original Thread

THUD
Hey folks...well I did not think I would be scared of anything....till just 20 min ago.
I just came home to my folks place to come play on my comp and do what eva and I found a file folder on my desk, it was something of my dads so I looked through it and saw that it was his doctors report.
My dads had some problems with his heart as of late, just 2 months ago he had a angioplasty to open up a cloged Arterie and from what I knew he was doing better from that no biggie....But aparently they did more test's on him recently and found that he has 4 blocked Arterie's and some other stuff.
So I read on and it says he is scheduled for open heart surgery this tuesday....AHHHHH
I went and asked my mom and she told me the rest....my dad only said he was going in for more tests next week but never said anything about surgery.
It explains why he has been acting really strange around me.....I can understand why he did not say he was going in for this but I have to say that as of right now I am really scared...I don't want to loose my dad

Sorry to hear that man. Best wishes to you and your family and your dad. I hope everything goes well. Be positive and I am sure everything will be fine

I'm sure you dad just didn't want you to worry.

My prayers are with you & your family.
Think of it this way, it is better that your dad is having this done before a major attack.

Things will work out dude.

Keep a positive attitude and keep him in a positive frame of mind. It will help him be more comfortable with things. The mind is very powerful.

Hope work out as I know what you are going thru, I almost lost my dad to a stroke 10 years ago because of blocked arteris and I thank god for every day I get to spend with him.

This surgery is very common now, they have it down really good. Your Dad will be fine. I got scared a few years ago too, when my Dad was diagnosed with cancer, but the procedure went really good, and he is in good health now. Stay positive.

snugs
Sending out some good vibes for your dad! He should pull through fine! :)

The cardiologists we have at the U are top notch.

No better place in this country to have heart problems.

Open heart surgery is not what it once was. He is in good hands.

The toughest part as a parent is that you never ever stop trying to protect your children. I am sure he feels that he should not worry you and that things will be fine. What is interesting is that more than likely he is thinking more of you than himself at this point. The beauty of being a TRUE parent. Selfless love.

Take care. My prayers are with you..... We will all be thinking of you.
