Well I went to court and and the charges against me were dismissed.:D Needless to say I was quite happy that the law ruled in my favor. Too bad it cost me like $150 for gas and hotel to go the Peace River. It was worth it though, I knew I was in the right.

Anyway, the Crown Prosecutor gave me a copy of his notes, including some misc papers, officers notes, but interestingly a summary of driving record. Is this normal? Do they get an abstract in all traffic court cases?

Also on my driving record summary I have 3 offenses. All for speeding (nothing huge). One in 97 and two in 01. I was under the impression that they came off my record after 2 or 3 years. Will these be there for ever? Or is there a difference between an abstract and a summary of driving record?

Once again, thank you for your time. It is very appreciated!

Demerits drop off after TWO years. Insurance companies can view your record for THREE years. The police can view your record all the way back.
