Petro Points Mastercard - Save 2 cents/litre - Click HERE for Original Thread

TrevorK
Anyone have this Mastercard? Seems like a really good deal - no annual fees, and you get 2 cents/litre off of gas.

My only question is - can I pay this bill online like I would with my normal bank Visa? Or do I need to send in a cheque or something?

Anyone have this card?

2 cents a liter.............. You buy 400 liters a month........

8 dollars saved per month.

But will that make it the lowest priced gas station?? I doubt it.

You gotta be pretty hard up to care about $.02 per litre.

I'm under the impression that all the gas stations are the same price - when I'm driving they all have the same posted price....

I'm getting a little pissed off with these stations still patronizing us with the 3.5c off per litre. How stupid do they think we are?:dunno:

a penny saved is a penny earned.

It has nothing to do with the 3.5c off. If it was actually 3.5c off then it would be great, but all they do is add 3.5c onto the price that everyone else is charging and then tell you you're getting a deal. I wish that they would just give it up and post the real price, it's stupid to think you're actually "saving" that money since everyone pretty much charges the same in the same areas of the city.

I've now gotten to the point that I'm not concerned about the price so much as I'm concerned about which gas helps my car avoid detonation when I'm running 14psi of boost.

God damn we need 94 in Edmonton.

If someone is really worried about saving a few bucks on gas, get your groceries at Safeway and you will usually get a coupon for 7 cent a liter at their gas stations. I have done that a few times with my Explorer and on 80 liters I get $5.60 off when normally you would only save $2.80.

I wouldn't go out of my way for a couple of bucks, but if you are really worried about money that is a good way to go. :)
