If you are a shop that would be interested or able to do this for me post it on here, or if anyone knows a good shop let me know. some mods i want to complete are

adjustable cam gears
good cams (dont know what is good)
pulleys
move battery to trunk
act clutch
z3fenders
racing seats
gauges
reinforced oil pan
basically need to get this thing going fast and looking moderately good at a shop i can trust. i will supply all parts from speed x zone and need good mechanics to get the job done THANKS. |

I don't know if any shop would be able to store your car in their shop the entire winter. Perhaps, just until the work is done.
Also, most shops don't appreciate you purchasing parts from other sources just to get them installed by them. If you bought the parts from them, you might have a better chance at getting a break in the labour costs. Just a thought.
The list of desired modifications may have to be done at different locations since I'm not positive that one shop can accomodate all your needs. |

| alright, yea i guess i should go through them, but i find that speed x is giving me hella deals, and yes i am dumping tons of cash into my car, that is where every penny i make goes lol, i dont need bling or anything like that, i want to go fast and have the only 3rd out there that can whooop! i want to have this project ready by next march or april atleast. the only prob is that i dont have insurance so i would have to get it towed everywhere. so maybe i will have to get the honda swap manual and the helms performance manual and get my hands dirty. but if any shops are still interested i will tow my car there and get the ball rolling. Thanks |

trust me man, there is a lot of research needed, not to mention the main thing - $$$. i was going to do an engine swap this winter so before going to the shops i found out what parts i needed, where to get them and who in the city would be capable of doing it.
H22 Swap is going to be a lot more work than what i was intending to do (JDM B16A). You will need upgraded suspension (thats one heavy-ass motor), custom motor mounts, custom axels, custom ECU........ lots of shit.
Seems the more popular swap into the 3rd gens is the JDM B20A, i'll see what i can dig up for info on that one.
sign on to preludepower.net, they have alot of memebers on there with turbos,nos,h22 swaps, etc. that are more than willing to help and know more about that car than anyone you will talk to here. |

h22 swap is a very expensive swap outside the 4th gen models...it would be nice, but suspension is key. There's nothing like a 600lbs motor to keep you in place....
http://www.teaminterlude.com/3rdGenH22Swap.asp
but here's some info that would help you if you decide to go this route.
If I had a 3rd gen, I'd get the CTR B16 motor swap, its easier, lighter and it does make a significant amount of power when boosted.....but if you want an all out drag car, get the h22 |

| i have currently installed h&r racing spring and tokico gas shocks/struts, not sure is this setup decent to handle the weight of the engine? |

Now i hear that there is an insane waiting period before the engine will even arive here something like months???? is this true? thanks for all the suggestions and sites atleast i know where to set my $$$$ goal at to accomplish this. when its done though i am sure it will be worth the $$ and work. I have one other question aswell
i was looking on total jdm and there are 3 types of h22a
h22a g1(92-96) 2400 shipped with ecu tranny and everything
h22a g2(97-01) 2 more hp but 2299 but not including shipping
h22a S 20 more hp better compression but 3399 i think out of the picture lol it is going to cost enough as is. which one of these is worth the cost they show, i am leaning toward just getting the g1 because only a lil more kms virtually same hp and same everything else and the shipping is included in the cost. |
