Wow....I got a sick kind of pleasure out of watching that...man that would have been SOOOOO fun.
In the end though that sales person is to blame...for starters there was a camera and given the nature of the internet and all the videos out there......like really that was a BIG clue, for anouther he asked for a drivers licence and still let him drive the car....you C kid's thats what greed does to ppl and that's why you must surpess it.
The sales person smelt money and fell into a trap, what he should have done is asked for a deposit of 1or2g's to comfirm the REAL intrest in the unit cause he said it himself that ppl have been fucking around with the car just so they can drive it.
#1. Hot car! (even i like it)
#2. Camera is present
#3. no licence
#4. hot car!
Sooo in the end BAHAHAHAHAHA  |

| When a guy comes in with a video camera, no licence and first asks to test drive the thang, I would say that salesman deserved what he got, hahaha and thats :owned: |

| BLK_LBL |
yeah, that was 100% the salesmans fault.
like someone allready said.. they come in with a video camera, guy has no licence, and he wants to drive a brand new cobra.
just goes to show how hurtin some salespeople are. they will let you do whatever as long as you seem like you're interested. |

Some salesmen are completely different. I drove an RSX Type-S back just after they came out and the salesman wanted me to beat the crap out of the car. He's saying "you can't really experience this car without running it around in V-TEC," so I ran it around in V-TEC for 15 minutes. :D |

Yup, I went to test drive an RSX with a friend once, it must have come right off the truck because it only had 11km on it, the salesman was begging us to redline it every chance we had. After that i decided I'll never be buying a car at westside acura |

| ...10th anniversary 03 at a Toyota dealership??? This is why you should never buy a used cobra. :D |
|
|

i dont even have words to express how i feel about that..
not anger, disappointment that the wimpy ass sales person put up with that shit.. Disappointment that some fuckers would come off the street, and beat the fuck out of a pretty nice car...
Mind you, it doesnt suprise me one bit..

| As said before it depends on the salesman. I took a new camaro ss for a test drive a few years ago and the salesman kept telling me to put my foot down and drive the car. He said that was what it was made for. The harder i pushed it the better he would say the car was. |

In the states, car dealerships are a lot different than they are here. In Canada, it is Ford OR Lincoln Mercury. Chevrolet Oldsmobile Cadillac OR Pontiac Buick GMC. In the states, it can be whatever they want, so Ford & Toyota both at the same dealership is common. A buddy of mine from Texas bought his 2000 Eclipse brand new from a Chevrolet, Suzuki, and Mitsubishi dealership.

Guys, that wasn't bagging it. That thing can handle a hell of a lot more abuse than he gave it. Right Snugs? ;) The only damage done was to the tires. When I test drive a car, I put the pedal down. What's the point, otherwise? You buy a high performance car to get high performance out of it. It's like buying a boat without making sure it can float. If it doesn't, you bring it back. If your cobra isn't as fast as it should be, and you don't find out until after purchase, you're stuck with it.
Yeah, he was an idiot, but the real fool here is the salesman.
Point is, that cobra will live to scream another day. |

i could not agree more with oldraven..the point of a test drive is to find out how you like the car...if you drive it like a pussy what is the difference between a top end civic and a 4 banger bmw...other than the obvious visual differences...it's in the feel of the car which you can only get if you DRIVE the car..bavaria bmw has demo cars in which they expect you to drive the hell out of them.. and then they are sold as a demo. As for acura..again i dont know because i would be disappointed to purchase a car to find out that they were redlining it as it came off the truck. I think all dealerships should have a demo car that they expect to be driven hard, and once a decision has been made by the consumer they are paying full price for a new car.. and that's what they should get, not a car that has been bagged....just my 2 cents  |

Dont buy demo cars from Westside.
The dude was also very pushy for me to buy the car even though i made it clear that i wasent buying and was shopping around for my cousin. |
