Unfortunately, they are illegal in Ontario, even for possession of them, so they can confiscate them, although their favorite trick seems to be to put it under your tire and make you drive over it.
I figure if they have the right to monitor my speed, I should have the right to know that they are doing so.
In BC, you can just turn it off and tell the cop that you're from Alberta, and it's not turned on, in compliance with their laws. They might ask you to remove it from it's mounting and put it away in your trunk or something, but in Ontario, you can't even have one in your possession. Bastards, huh?

There is still away to get around that. All you have to do is put it into and envelope that has your name on it...seal it and they can't do nothing about it because they have no right to open your mail. |

If it's not post-marked and bearing a stamp, then it's just an envelope, not mail.
Damn good idea though. I'll keep that in mind the next time I go to Ontario.
